The USF Polaris Guardian is a supportive anchor designed to shield allies from incoming enemy fire while providing crucial repairs to keep fleets in working order. The guardian can deploy a shield barrier to block out incoming fire from enemy vessels. In addition to its defensive abilities, it can deploy repair drones to fix ally ships. The Guardian’s above-average armor and shielding allow it to sustain allies in long firefights, earning its reputation as the “Unbroken Shield of the USF.”
The MK-4 iteration of the Guardian doubles down on its primary combat premise, shifting power from its engines to increase its shields. The resulting ship is slow but can withstand even more punishment, making it exceedingly useful for frontal assaults on enemy formations.
